As the years progressed and Cetrok's skills improved he and Jurion began questing during the summers. Sometimes to learn the way of the land, others to track some dangerous prey. One such summer both warriors came against a foe far greater than they were equipped for. The attack was sudden and without warning. Jurion who had been resting was knocked into a rock ledged and rendered senseless for a few moments. As the ravenous beast went for the kill, Cetrok's blade struck true but served no more to distract the foe long enough for Jurion to join the fray. The battle was fierce and much blood was lost but in the end the beast lay dead at Jurion's feet, his head severed from the body. Cetrok had managed away with only a gash on his face at which the beast had slammed him against the rock wall. Jurion however was badly wounded and needed rest for several weeks before he could journey on his own again.
For the duration of their stay Cetrok hunted daily for the pair and sought out healing herbs to heal his injured master. From that point on they found a new understanding for each other and were no longer Master and Student. They were friends...
